Book Spam

As covered in the NYTimes today, Amazon has 85,866 books written by Philip M Parker.

Seems to me the NYTimes is a bit too friendly to this guy. How would you feel if you paid $795.00 for this book without knowing it was “written” by a computer?

Looks a lot like old fashioned search engine spam, except:

1) exploiting Amazon search instead of Google

2) driving traffic to on demand printing instead of websites

3) monetizing through direct payment for books instead of advertising like Adsense.
